*UPDATE* Club Reopening April 26th 2021

** UPDATE **

A bubble system is now allowed with a rotation of six players in the hall during a single session.

——      ——      ——

Following the latest easing of restrictions, the Club is now in a position to reopen from Monday 26th April 2021.

The online booking system will remain in place as before; however, players will only be allowed to play one other person during each session with no rotation allowed.  This is subject to change, depending on Table Tennis Scotland guidance.

Membership fees remain the same:

Individual – £15 per month / Family – £20 per month

Full details available here.

Please note that May 2021 memberships will cover the period 26th April 2021 to 31st May 2021.  Payment must be received by 26th April 2021.

Members who have already paid for a December 2020 membership will have a half-month credit available to use.  This can be used for the period 26th April 2021 to 15th May 2021 and the balance for the remainder of May can be paid by 10th May 2021.

Members who have credit from December 2020 may decide to defer their half-month credit for another month, if they are unable to use it.  Members must contact Stuart Brown or Kenny Lee to advise of their intentions.

*UPDATE* Club Reopening

* * UPDATE * *

Please note that the £3 booking fee no longer applies as of 13th October.

Further details of fees from 1st December 2020 will be released shortly.

——      ——      ——

The Club is now in a position to open to those wishing to play.

A booking system is available for members to book time slots for a table.

There are four tables available (one robot and three tables).  Only two people will be allowed to play at one table for each time slot (solo players can book the robot, if they wish).  A table will cost £3 to book – this is to be done at the time of booking via Paypal.  This allows for 1.5 hours of table time plus extra time to prepare/clean the playing area.

In order to be registered on the system, please get in touch with Kenny Lee.  A document with guidance/expectations will be issued which is to be acknowledged before a player is registered.

As noted, those using the booking system must also be members.  We note that the memberships for 19/20 have been extended until 30th November 2020 when a review will take place.

For non-members who wish to use the facility in the meantime, we ask for a payment of £20 (adult) / £10 (junior/student) to cover a basic membership until 30th November.

Some players may wish to get in touch with others to arrange a game.  For those set up on the booking system, contact details will be available when signed in. A WhatsApp group chat or email group can also be set up which would help with contacting multiple people.

Many thanks to the Committee for their involvement in getting the Club prepared for the reopening.

* Update* Club Statement – Covid-19

—— —— —— —— —— ——

Dumfries Table Tennis Club continues to review the situation with regards Covid-19.  At the moment DTTC will operate its normal opening and coaching times but will require members and visitors to maintain hygiene in line with current government advice.

Anyone displaying symptoms including cough, fever or shortness of breath is asked not to visit the club.

Players should forego the etiquette of handshakes with opponents or umpires during matches, avoid behaviours such as wiping hands on tables and try to retain a 2m distance from other people where possible.

The club will also try to provide hand sanitiser to be used on entering the building and between games.

Please note that this position may change at short notice depending on government advice.

We wish all our friends and members well during this difficult time.
